Miss Jasmine

MISS JASMINE has been trained in dance for over 20 years in various styles. She has spent a few years assisting classes but this is her 7th year teaching and choreographing; 5th year with AFD. Miss Jasmine also studied hip-hop and step dance while attending undergrad at Albright College. She has experience teaching dance to Boys and Girls Clubs, other studios, and cheer choreography for Hamilton west cheer where she has been awarded “Best Dance” two years in a row in the Colonial Valley Conference. Miss Jasmine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Studies from Albright College and a Master of Science in Applied Family Science from Wilmington University. During the day, she is a 2nd grade teacher for a private school in Mercer County. In her free time, she also models which consists of runway and print work. You can also find her performing for local musical artists’ music videos and live performances such as weddings, events, and recitals. Miss Jasmine continues her dance journey by teaching hip-hop and cheer dance to many ages, taking adult classes at All for Dance, and also dancing with Dance with Tyisha and Empire Dance Company which includes her performing in World of Dance competitions. Miss Jasmine will be teaching hip-hop this upcoming season. She absolutely adores teaching dance to her students and being able to share her passion for dance with children. Miss Jasmine is big on making sure her students have fun, while making sure they learn how to switch between sharp and loose movements. Miss Jasmine’s major philosophy when doing hip-hop is to use all of your energy and dance like you’re “mad.”
